Interactive

Is your quote request ready to send?

Ten things a shop needs before it can price a part rather than guess at one. Tick what you already have. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is stored and there is no email box at the end.

Nothing ticked yet

Work down the list. Most requests that stall are missing two or three of these, and each missing line costs a round of email.

What each score means
  • 9 to 10Send it. Expect prices rather than questions.
  • 6 to 8Sendable, with one round of clarification. Fill the gaps first if you can.
  • 3 to 5You will get a guess, and a guess is always cautious.
  • 0 to 2Too early for a quote. Describe the function and ask for advice instead.

Take the text with you

The full RFQ template fills in around these answers, and it works with any supplier, not only ours.
